• It has a hole at the bottom but the pooling water is there for efficiency. The water gets tossed onto the coils to evaporate and assist on cooling the coils.

• You do not have to drain the water out on these indoor/outdoor units. They function more efficiently by pooling water inside the unit and sprinkling it against the condenser inside, Any excess water will naturally drip out and evaporate away.
