I'm not sure this was adressed properly. It looks like GE made a mid model switch. I looked at the manual and there is a difference. The SP1SS does not have a dedicated Air Fry button for the lower oven while the SPSS does. Instead, there's a delayed start feature. Oddly enough, the 1SPSS has an illumination icon in the display but no idea how one goes about selecting it

When the model is manufactured, these extra letters/numbers are placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. These letters/numbers are used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance.
