Q: QuestionDo the foods tend to overcook in the upper oven? Does a tray of cookies or muffins bake at the same time/temperature and come out okay?
Asked by BrioGirl.
- A:Answer Hi BrioGirl - Thanks for considering GE! You'll love your choice and should not expect your foods to be overcooked in the upper or lower oven. The range has been designed to maintain a tighter control over the oven's temperature. Our GE double oven ranges allow you to cook two different dishes at two different temperatures at the same time. Also, all GE double ovens feature convection (lower oven) for even cooking results. Check out the Cooking Guide on page 20 of the Owner's Manual for recommendations: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-85223-2.pdf - You might want to pair with matching GE® 1.9 Cu. Q: QuestionDoes this range require ventilation to the outside?
Asked by EMC.
- A:Answer Hello EMC - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. This range vents internally at the rear of the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the oven door and at the bottom of the range. It does not require external ventilation; however, we recommend installing this under a vent hood or over-the-range microwave. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Q: QuestionWhy is this GE model not available for pick up or delivery in the metro Philadelphia-Wilimington DE area?

Q: QuestionHow do you light the stove
Asked by Chelz.
- A:Answer Hi Chelz, thanks for reaching out! This oven actually does not have a pilot light that you need to manually light. It instead has electric ignition. The automatic pilotless ignition (also called automatic electric or automatic electronic ignition) eliminates the need to light the burners. It also saves money by using less gas than a standing pilot range. Because this system has no standing pilot light, no gas is being used unless it is needed. - With the spark igniter system, electricity simply sparks when the control is turned to the LITE position. Gas is simultaneously released and ignites when it comes in contact with the spark. Should there be a power failure, the oven will not function but the burners may be lit with a match. Simply hold the match near the burner, turn the control to LITE. Exercise extreme caution when lighting the burners in this manner. - The glo-bar in the oven will cycle on and off with the oven temperature. When it cycles on to heat, the gas valve opens and the gas is ignited. When the oven is at temperature, the gas valve closes there are no longer flames. You only use gas and see flames in the oven when the oven is actively heating. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

Q: QuestionI currently have an oven that is connected via propane. I am not able to adjust the amount of flame so it is either very high or off. Can you adjust the amount of gas for each burner? I would be replacing the existing with this model.
Asked by Gary.
- A:Answer Hi Gary, To adjust the height of the flame, and thus the amount of gas that is being expelled from the burner, you would simply need to adjust that via the knobs on the front of the range. The higher the setting, the more gas that is used and the bigger the flames. But, there is no way to manually adjust how much gas is used on each of those settings. Your gas conversion or installation should be done by a technician or a qualified gas installer. We hope that this helped! Thank you so much for your question. -Michael
