This unit requires a new UL-listed 240V 30-amp dryer power supply cord with 3 or 4 prongs. Since the power cord is not provided with dryer, you should identify the plug type needed for your house receptacle before purchasing the line cord. You can purchase either 3 or 4 prong plug. It is a add on charge depending what is required and type of electrical system at your home. It can work either way.
