HI Rosy you don't necessarily need to but depending on your climate and the amount of moisture you get wicking through the cement floor it might not be a bad idea. Moisture and electronics don't mix to well after a while

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No! I was told by another big box store (HD) that I needed to do that. I am short. No way I could reach the dials if I raised the dryer 18 inches!!! Wouldn't be surprised if It were a state requirement in CA, but doesn't seem to be. Great service with Best Buy!
