Hello Bob, This is Michelle with GE and I am happy to answer your question. Yes, this range model AGBS45DEFWS employs the electronic ignition for both the cooktop and the oven. GE currently offers one gas model that does not use an electronic ignition. The model number is JGBS14PCFWW.
