  • QuestionCan the low light level be turned off and it only come on for motion

    Asked by Shopper.

    • Answer From my understanding and research. The light cannot be switched out of the day/night mode. So it will always come on at night(@ 50% brightness) then turn off at dawn. During night while on at 50% or 7.5 watt brightness. If it detects motion. It then will turn from 50%/7.5W to full power 100%/15W. For 3mins. Then it will switch back to day/night mode At 50%. Until next motion is detected or dawn. It CANNOT be switched out of the permanent setting of day night. I don't even think that the setting of coming on for 3 minutes is adjustable. But have not confirmed that 100%. It can be linked to up to 3 or 4 including the 1st bulb. Other GE outdoor LED floodlights. So out of the 4 lights total if anyone of them detects motion durring the night . The 4 bulbs that's linked together will illuminate from 50% to 100% brightness. Now, whether they have their own capabilities to link together. Or if they have to have Wi-Fi to link together. I have not been able to confirm that yet. Also the light disables itself or turns off during the daylight so no motion detecting is activated during the daylight. the light completely shuts off. they say this being an LED light over a conventional light in a motion sensor housing. that you can save I think 18% on your electricity usage by using this light. over a standard motion detector housing and flood light with conventional light bulbs. That's all the information I've got searching on the internet and reading the descriptions of that they have here. Still very veg! Robert

  • QuestionDoes this light run by wiring up electricity?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer The description and specs both mention the light screws into a standard light bulb socket. So unless you must put your light in a location without a screw in bulb fixture then and only then would you need any sort of electrical work. So no, you need a light bulb socket, generally the one for your porch light works swell.

  • QuestionWould this be safe to use indoors??

    Asked by Mosley.

    • Answer You could but would not recommend. Too bright. Look to purchase elsewhere, their price is per bulb not the 3-pk they advertise.

  • QuestionWhat other light and outlets can this GE LED Floodligt with Motion Sensor be linked to? Your item description is lacking any detail on the special features and capabilities of this light bulb!!! Please list the items this can be linked to.

    • Answer I found the description frustrating as well. It is not actually a smart bulb and can’t be controlled by a hub or any other device. If you have 4 bulbs installed AND set to the same channel, motion detected by one bulb would turn on all 4 bulbs. I would suggest buying a Lutron (or other smart light switch) for remote control of the bulb. Look to purchase elsewhere, their price is per bulb not the 3-pk they advertise.

  • QuestionDescription unclear. Is this a “dusk to dawn” light that turns off during the day. Confirm that motion will not turn it on during the day. Additionally, at night is it on low light that brightens when motion is detected?

    Asked by UncleBill.

    • Answer I have the light set up in back yard. It’s in a fixture plugged into a regular outlet. It turns its self on at night and off in the morning. Does not turn on when moving in back yard during the day. Not much difference between the bright and dim setting.
