It is a fixed mount antenna and cable is sold separately. As far as the mount I used the hardware from my original mast since it was already there but I'd imagine that's pretty standard. I aimed right at our local broadcast array and had a clear signal. Make sure you tighten it down good so the wind can't spin it around. We are using a 3-way splitter to service several rooms and don't seem to experience any loss of clarity with digital channels. UHF however, is affected by other factors that interfere with the signal for those channels.

It could use a rotor if that's handy for you, otherwise you have to turn it yourself. this has a pretty generous v clamp it may fit your pole. I know it will work with a pole larger than what's provided. you have to provide your own cable.
