“My GE Profile over the stove top microwave goes on when I open the door. I don't know if it's the fan or if the microwave is actually working. When I close the door is goes off. When I set the panel to heat something it works.”

If an over-the-range microwave comes on by itself (fan & turntable running), first determine whether it is running and heating, or whether just the fan and lights are coming on.
