The PVM9005SJSS can be vented out the back or out the top for external venting. The specific details of which can be found in the online Installation Instructions. For satisfactory air movement, the total duct length of 3 1/4" x 10" rectangular or 6"diameter round duct work should not not exceed 140 equivalent feet.
