It does not automatically preheat the water, as the inlet water temperature should be at least 120 degrees F. However, this model does feature a Wash Temp Boost option which, when pushed in, the dishwasher extends the main wash time by about 20 minutes, which raises the water temperature from about 120 degrees F to 140 degrees F. This will improve wash performance, especially when heavily soiled dishes are involved.
