The Profile models are suppose to have a 5 yr compressor warranty but good luck with that!

Our GE appliances indeed automatically come with a one year manufacturer's warranty. If you are interested in extending your coverage, you may want to inquire with the dealer you purchase the refrigerator from about an extended warranty. Alternately, there is an extended service contract available through Assurant; they are not affiliated directly with GE but are an authorized provider of extended service contracts for our company.
