How did you hook up to your water supply? R.O. water, self-piercing water tap under sink? If R.O. you may be using the water filter in the fridge and lowering the water pressure so much it is barely flowing. Install a water plug instead of the filter, available where you bought the fridge or from GE directly and your pressure will increase to full R.O. line pressure fixing flow problems to the dispenser and ice maker. If you used a self-piercing water pipe tap you must remember to back off the screw that pierced the pipe hole to allow water to flow into the water line to the fridge.

There could be a number of issues causing this. Verify that the water line to the refrigerator is turned on. The saddle valve is used to connect the water supply line to the house plumbing and must be fully open for the refrigerator to receive water. To confirm a clogged filter, please remove the filter and install the supplied filter bypass plug in its place. Try the dispenser, if the water flow improves from the dispenser, the filter is clogged and needs to be replaced. If you need the bypass plug and one was not supplied with the refrigerator or has been misplaced, one can be ordered at no charge by calling 1-800-GECARES. In Canada, call 800-561-3344. Check the water tank behind the vegetable bins to see if it is frozen or cracked (does not apply to Top-Freezer refrigerators). You cannot typically see water in the tank; however, usually a frozen tank will be split and will leak on the fresh food floor. This will require service to correct. If these tips don't help, service may be needed. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737. Hope this helps! Mike@GEA
