The "cool chill" answer appears to be an obfuscated answer. I believe you are correct - the freezer air will flow into the refrigerator I've found more than one brand uses this cooling method and it makes it very difficult to prevent the freezing of refrigerator items if food is placed too close to the vent AND/OR touching the side of the refrigerator.
