Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this induction cooktop. We certainly understand your concern over the possible noises the cooktop makes, and are glad to advise. Sounds may be made during the cooking process, including whistling and humming, especially when two adjacent heating elements are in use - the magnetic fields can interact with each other to make this noise. The size and weight of the cookware and the amount of contents will also affect the sounds and their volume. Other sounds, like buzzing and clicking, can be heard in some cases; regarding clicking, if you're hearing that the cookware you're using may be smaller than recommended for the burner. Further details on the sounds the unit produces are available on page 11 of the manual. Beeping is not one of the sounds we expect to hear from this model. If you have any other questions or concerns, we're always happy to help. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
