QuestionDoes this model have the option for an air fryer?

- Answer While this model does not offer the air fryer feature, it does include convection cooking for both the microwave and the lower oven. Convection-baked foods are evenly cooked and browned using a third heating element and fan combination. The lower oven also includes convection roasting, which provides results similar to using a rotisserie. To review additional information, please see pages 10, 13, 19, and 20 of the manual for this model by visiting the product page, clicking on the “Features” tab, and navigating to the “Manuals & Guides” section. We do not offer the air fryer feature in a double microwave/wall oven.

- Answer In order to be good stewards of the environment, we no longer print physical copies of owner’s manuals. However, we maintain digital copies of all manuals online for your access at any time. QuestionI am looking to replace my built in microwave oven SCB2001kss 01. Will a new one fit in this cabinet and I have an oven below j t91580K1ss, do I have to replace that too even if working? Looks like they are separate?

- Answer Your current microwave, SCB2001KSS, is an Advantium Wall Oven and is separate from the other oven you listed. We recommend looking at other single oven Advantiums for the closest in size and function. However, new Advantium ovens require a different cutout size, so cabinet alterations will be necessary.

QuestionHi - When using the upper oven for convection bake, does it need to be pre-heated? What is the time difference in pre-heating the upper and lower ovens to 350F? Thanks

- Answer We do advise preheating your oven when convection baking. There is little to no time difference in regard to the preheat times of the upper microwave oven and lower oven.

QuestionI noticed in the features there was a steam clean option. Does this require separate plumbing? Or is there a self-contained cartridge that we add the water to? Also, does that mean that you can proof bread or steam vegetables?

- Answer To use the Steam Clean feature, you will pour approximately one cup of water onto the oven floor. there's no water connection or self-contained cartridge needed. It does not allow for the steaming of foods and Proof is one of the great features offered in the either the upper or lower oven. -Vikki@GEAppliances

- Answer Door handle protrudes 3" from door face. The distance from top of oven (top of control) to Upper Oven handle: Top of oven to top of upper oven handle: 5.3". Top of oven to centerpoint of upper oven handle: 6". Distance from top of oven (top of overlap) to Lower Oven handle: Top of oven to top of lower oven handle: 21.3". QuestionCustomer reviews say there are a lot of steps to set the cook duration for the microwave. Would you list step by step each button press and dial turn needed to cook at full power for 49 seconds, specifically not a multiple of 15 seconds?

- Answer The microwave time can only be set in 15 second increments (i.e. 45 seconds or 1 minute). To achieve a cook time of 49 seconds, here are the steps; Press the Microwave pad, Turn the selector dial to Cook By Time and press the selector dial to enter, Turn the selector dial to set the cook time to one minute and press the selector dial to enter, Press the selector dial to start cooking, and Lastly, when the cook time reaches 11 seconds remaining open the door. To learn more, check out the Cook By Time section on page 15 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. Questionmodel PT970SR2SS combination. no longer works after trying two replacement control panels. Home warranty/ manufacturer says none in stock. They identified PT7800SHSS as a replacement. Is this a valid replacement and what are the differences?

The main differences are that the new model has a slightly bigger capacity, a steam clean option, and additional cooking elements. - Answer Hi, We appreciate you reaching out! The selector dial is used for both the upper and lower ovens. Rotating the dial selects oven settings, upper/lower oven options and cooking options Rotating the dial also increases or decreases temperatures or time. Thanks for your support! Mike@GEA
