I am looking to replace the Profile downdraft cooktop that we purchased 18 years ago. There are a few very minor scratches that developed over those years. It still looks fabulous but one unit has finally failed. I love my cooktop and would have to have very strong evidence that there is a better product on the market.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far after a couple of weeks I have had no issues (even with old pots)

Sometimes marks may appear on the glass ceramic that seem to be scratches, but are really just marks from a pan and are able to be removed by cleaning. The glass ceramic cooktops are scratch resistant, yet not scratch proof. Check the bottoms of the pans that you use for any rough spots. The bottoms of the pans should be a "smooth" flat surface. Proper cookware should be used. Thanks for the question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought new pots and pans with smooth bottoms since I read some comments about scratching issues. You may want to consider this before you purchase. As of now, the cook top looks good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Too early to tell, we installed the stove top three days ago. Ask again in a month, sorry this is all I can give you for now...
