“Can you explain to me what material the knobs on the profile 36” built in stainless gas cooktop is made from. What does electroplated & weighted plastic to look like metal mean. To clarify are all knobs on every one of the built in cooktops the same.”

Hi Greeneyes! Good question! We'd like to assist as best as possible. This cooktop's knobs are made of weighted plastic, so that they have a heftier feel to them, and have a Stainless Steel appearance to match the rest of the finish on the cooktop. They are made of this plastic so they do not conduct as much heat as a metal knob. Some of our cooking products in our Café line have knobs that are made out of die cast metal but this would need to be double checked in that particular model's specifications.
