Hi, Great question! We thank you for your interest and we'd be happy to provide you with an answer. We Do not recommend using any steel wool pads to clean a stainless steel cooktop as it could cause scratches. To clean the stainless steel surface, use warm sudsy water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish. Always wipe the surface in the direction of the grain.
