A:AnswerIf you have an extended warranty I would call them otherwise I would call GE. I have the same refrigerator that I purchased in March also but the noise it makes when the ice maker fills is very minor - more like a slight hum. Again I would call GE and get an explanation.

A:AnswerWe received our GE PVD28BYNGFS about 4 months ago. When it was delivered, they did not provide the bypass filter that GE states should be supplied free. I called GE @ 1-800-626-2005, and they took my info and provided me a case number and was told that they would be shipping one out to me free of charge since the new fridge should have come with the bypass plug!
A:AnswerHi there - Thanks for reaching out to us. We regret to hear that your freezer drawer isn't closing. We know how important it is that the drawer gets closed so you can keep your food at a frozen temperature. We want to encourage you to ensure that no boxes have fallen behind the basket or are blocking the drawer preventing closure. Ice cubes can also cause the drawer to not close, so please check for those. We also have an article on our GE Appliances website called "BOTTOM FREEZER REFRIGERATOR - FREEZER DRAWER NOT SEALING PROPERLY". If you've read the article and ensured that nothing is blocking the drawer, we recommend service. You can schedule that by calling our GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. One of our great technicians will be able to get your drawer closing as it should. Reach out to us directly if you have additional questions. -Kacie@GEA
A:AnswerHello- Thank you for taking the time to send us your question. When it comes to installing your fridge its going to depend on the dimensions of your space on whether or not anything needs to be removed. I have provided in the use and care manual on page 24 here _https://content.syndigo.com/asset/4fa59c0b-564e-4dcb-88c4-376148630230/original.pdf. where you can find more specific information about that. Hope this helps! If you need anything else in the future please let us know. Take care! Dianna@GEA
A:AnswerWe are sorry that your door hinge is sticking. When you open the fresh food or freezer door or drawer on your refrigerator, warm air rushes inside. When you close the door or drawer, all the warm air rushes to the evaporator, which in turn creates a vacuum. The vacuum makes the door hard to open. To fix this issue, try rubbing paraffin wax or petroleum jelly along the edges of the entire gasket. Paraffin wax is used for canning and is safe for use around food. We hope this helps, and if you have any additional questions, please reach out. We are happy to help!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerHi - We are so sorry to hear you're having difficulty with the water dispenser and the AutoFill feature. Replacing your filter was the first suggestion we would have had as well. Since this has not improved the flow rate, we recommend calling an authorized GE Appliances service technician to have the refrigerator checked. You may call 1-800-432-2737 to schedule an appointment. We are confident our service team will be able to help. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA

A:AnswerThank you for reaching out to us! Yes, this is normal operation. After dispensing ice, a motor will close the ice chute to keep warm room air from entering the ice bucket. This maintains the ice at a freezing temperature. We hope this helps; best regards – Matthew@GEA
