• A:Answer Hello - thanks for reaching out. The depth of the top portion of the hood is 12" deep. We typically see the use of a 12" deep overhead cabinet when this model is installed underneath a cabinet. To learn more, see the section “Install Hood to Soffit or Cabinet” starting on page 19 of the manual. The manual can be viewed by searching for model number UVW93642PSS on the GE Appliances website and going to the Owner Support section of the product page. Q: QuestionThe hood is not pulling enough air, what can be the cause of this? Even on high, I hear the fan get loud but it is not actually pulling much.
