Doesn't require, but if the water sourxe is untreated or you ise hard water. A cleaningbis recommended every month! There are simple wash remedies on the internet. Vinegar is a common one and very effective.

We do recommend cleaning the interior of your unit at least once a month to ensure proper operation and longevity of the washer.
