“When using the electric oven it makes a clicking sound as if trying to ignite. It is not set on convection yet the food seems dry and overcooked. Any help appreciated.”

It's normal to hear the temperature control click on and off during baking, broiling and self-cleaning cycles. Your range has been designed to maintain a tighter control over the oven temperature. You may hear the heating elements in a newer oven click on and off much more frequently than in older ovens. This achieves better results during baking, broiling and self-clean cycles. The cookware and rack position does have an effect on the baking performance. We recommend you review the "Oven Cooking Guide" section on pages 18-19 of the Owner's Manual. -Don@GEAppliances
