both, stand alone or built in, we've done both with this unit. yes to hinge placement, it comes with a parts pack. I think I specified what hinge I wanted when I ordered but you can change it later on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can use as a stand alone. The unit vents from the front in the event you want to use as a built in or under counter option. They supply you with an extra hinge if you’d like to change the door from left opening to right open. Very simple to do. Hope this helps
