Hello - we’re sorry to hear that you’re having this issue and would love to share some tips that will help. A possible cause is that a fuse is blown, or a circuit breaker is tripped. In this case, the dryer may tumble but not heat. Check the building’s fuse/circuit breaker box and replace both fuses or reset both breakers. Your dryer may tumble if only one fuse is blown, or one breaker tripped. -- Another possible cause is that the “No Heat” temperature is selected - make sure to select a heat setting. -- If these tips don’t help resolve the issue, service may be needed. You can schedule online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is informative and please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with. Warm regards. Lauren@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try not to put too many clothes in the dryer. Allow the heat to flow evenly. I thought this at first, so I turned off the dryer and restarted it with a new timer. It heated up just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had the same problem 18 mos after purchase. Had to have repair to a wire that was not installed correctly and shorted out. Not under warranty, GE repair person indicated it was a common issue with this dryer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same problem. We bought model PTD60EBSRWS from Best Buy in 2022. It worked great for 4 years. 2 months ago it stopped heating but rotated. $350 for replace the heating element. 3 weeks later, same thing happened. $250 to replace some purple wires that were burned out. Ran fine. One month later, it won’t turn on at all. $95 for a different repair person to tell us the control panel needs to be replaced. It will cost $412 if we decide to do that. The dryer is only 4 years old! We very rarely run large loads in the dryer - mostly small and medium loads. We clean the vent after every use. Duct is clean. Not sure if we got a defective model or if they’re all like this after a few years.
