Hey there - that’s a great question! The length of the cut should be 33-7/8” and the width of the cut should be 19-1/8”. There should be a minimum of 1-3/4” between the rear edge of the cutout and the wall behind the cooktop. There should be a minimum of 2-1/2” from the front edge of the cutout and the front edge of the countertop. Also make sure to use a cabinet base equal to or larger than the nominal width of the cooktop (30” or 36”). For more information, see page 4 of the Installation Instructions.
