Hi - Thank you for considering this lovely GE dishwasher for your home. This model offers our "Hidden Vent" feature. The feature not only eliminates excess steam it also aids in drying your dishes. Air is pulled from the tub with an efficient 10 watt fan. The fan drives the moist air down a condensation tube, where any remaining drops of moisture are released within the door to a moisture proof trough in the lower inner door. Any remaining moisture drains back into the bottom of the tub and away from the dish load. When the dishwasher is installed properly there would be no issue with steam damaging your flooring.
