No water line connection is required. I'm can't remember if it's actually possible, per the instructions. Because it's not a freezer and more of a cooler, as the ice on the bottom melts, it recirculates the water. Water is only used up if you use ice. The side tank is easy to fill.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, the Opal is not required to be connected to a water line and doesn't have the capability. We've designed the Opal to take advantage of the side tank and repurposing the collected water to allow the unit to produce as much ice as needed.
