“How do you open the actual side tank (to clean it)? Do you pry that 1/8” thick plastic piece at the top off or that over 1” wide piece at the top? I don’t want to break it by pulling too hard -especially pulling on the wrong part…”

The small screw cap at the bottom doesn't clean the tank sufficiently. I've tried bleach and dish soap and vinegar. The hole is too small to clean well. I stuck a couple fingers with a paper towel on the bottom after soaking for a few hours with bleach and it still came away with black gross film. If anyone has found a way into the tank let me know. I pried off the top part but that just accessed more plastic and not the tank itself.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You open it the same way you do to add water! When cleaning it just add soap or a little bleach or vinegar (your choice) and wash it. I wash all the detachable parts and let them soak while I run the cleaning cycle.
