Q: QuestionI have aGE JEM25DM4WW white space saver microwave. The space it sits in accommodates that size but nothing larger. What model do you recommend. We don;'t need a framing kit, it sits on a shelf with outlet behind it Thanks you!

Q: QuestionI have a GE Microwave PEM31SM1SS Need to replace or repair but fitting in same space. What's comparable now? It makes a humming noise when plugged in.

It's normal for the transformer (used to power the clock) to emit a slight humming sound when the microwave is plugged in, but not in operation - though this noise is usually not noticed. If you're looking to replace your current microwave, we're seeing that Model #PEM31SFSS (this microwave) is comparable in size, capacity, and microwave watts. Additionally, if you're interested in a built-in trim kit for this model, here are those kit model #s - 27" Trim Kit: #JX827SFSS and 30" Trim Kit: #JX830SFS. Q: QuestionI tried to order the trim kit for this microwave (Model:PEM31SFSS)and it is no longer available. I need a microwave that will fit a cabinet opening of 24.5"w x 15" t x 16" deep. And need a trim kit to go along with it...please help....

Any of our 1.1 cu. ft. microwaves will fit into your cabinet opening. One such model is PEM31BMTS. The trim kit required for this model is JX827BMTS (27) JX830BMTS (30). We hope this helps. Mike@GEA

Q: QuestionDoes the GE Profile Series 1.1 cu ft midsize PEM31DFBB model have the 4 holes in the top of the microwave? We have an existing mounting hardware but want to make sure the holes are already drilled or ready to be drilled.

• A:Answer Hi there, thanks for checking on this! The model in question has four bumps on its top that work in tandem with the hanging kit: WX4-A019. We'd recommend using new mounting hardware with a new microwave. It's possible that the mounting holes have shifted slightly over time so be sure to check the installation instructions that come with your mounting kit. Q: QuestionWhat trim is compatible with this product to cover a total opening of 17.5? The microwave height is 12 1/8, so I would need just shy of 3 inches of trim above and below the microwave to cover the 17.5in opening.

Q: QuestionJust bought new GE Microwave PEM31SFSS to replace older one that mounts under the cabinet with the mounting ki. Turned it on to test it with cup of water for 3 minutes and it started blowing hot air underneath. Our old one never did this before.

Since this model can be put on a countertop, hung under a cabinet using the hanging kit, or built in with the model specific trim kit, would you not need to worry about using ducting to vent this microwave as that's not apart of its design. • A:Answer Hi my microwave is installed under counter between 2 cabinets and did not require an additional trim kit due to the fact that it recessed nicely in cavity with only the door protruding from cabinet. But I’m sure if u ask them they will be able to provide insight on it. Also YouTube has always been a go to place for me. Thx and sorry
