QuestionWe have an older GE built-in microwave we'd like to replace -- we have the PEM31DM3WW. I have no idea how big the cutout of our cabinet is, but this one fits. Can you suggest a replacement that will also fit? Will your newer 1.1 cu. ft. fit? In white?

QuestionThe paint is peeling inside our stainless steel GE Monogram Microwave Oven (ZEM200SF) Spacemaker II. Width is 23 25/32" and the recommended replacement model is wider at 24". That doesn't fit in our cabinet. What other options do we have?

QuestionI have a JEM25GY Spacemaker II with a built in kit JX827BN. It died after 17 years of good service. I believe the PEM31DFBB may work as a replacement. Is that true? (cut out Width = 24 3/4", H 15", D 18"). I still have the mounting kit. Can I reuse?

A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. Questioni will be using the pem31 microwave built into a base cabinet. The electrical rough in will be done before the appliances are delivered. Where does the outlet need to go so it won’t interfere with the microwave once it’s slid into the cabinet?

- Answer Hello Hans! The PEM31SFSS is the replacement for your microwave. It will fit into your existing cut-out space; however, the old trim kit will not work with the new model. The PEM31SFSS will need either the JX827SFSS (27"W kit) or JX830SFSS (30"W kit), depending on your overall cabinet width. I'm glad you checked with us! LEDA@GEA
