Hello. That's a great question! This model is designed to be on a counter top, but it can be customized to fit under a cabinet with hanging kit JXA019K. In terms of the warranty, the following are situations that could cause your manufacturer's or limited warranty to be voided: natural disasters – flooding, lightning strikes, etc, commercial usage of a non-commercial appliance, customizing / modifying an appliance, installation done incorrectly, and the appliance being taken out of the United States.
