- Answer Your refrigerator features Turbo Cool, which helps to maintain the interior temperature. The display may show tC to indicate when Turbo Cool is being used. If you're sure the display is showing ec instead, we recommend disconnecting the appliance from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it. If that doesn't help and you think service is needed, our Bodewell team can be reached at 1-833-426-3393. They are open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 8PM ET, and a technician would be glad to examine the refrigerator for any issues.

QuestionCan the main shelf above the crispers be easily removed for cleaning? It says the shelves are spill proof glass but I wasn't sure about the bottom shelf that sits directly above the crisper drawers.

- Answer The main shelf above the crispers cannot be removed for cleaning. However, all of the other shelves above this shelf can be removed for cleaning by tilting the shelf up at the front and lifting the shelf up at the back and bring the shelf out.

- Answer The cubes produced by the Space Saving ice maker located in the fresh food door are approximately 2 1/2"L x 3/4" H x 3/4" Thick. This fabulous model also offers the ability to add a second icemaker (IM5D) in the freezer compartment. The cubes made by the IM5D are approximately the same dimensions. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Questionto clean compresser area must the unit be moved away from wall or front grill access ?

- Answer Hello, thank you for connecting with us about this. In our current refrigerator the condenser coils are located in the compressor housing instead of on the back or underneath, keeping them clean and functioning optimally. This design allows for more efficient airflow. This means you don't actually have to clean them, but you can wipe off the front grill or unplug the refrigerator and remove the front grill to clean it. QuestionDoes the GE Profile need any clearance to open doors 90 degrees. If you are right next to a wall will the door open 90 degrees.

- Answer It does require space on the side to open the doors 90 degrees. I have not measured how much room is required but it has to have at least some room for the doors to open to 90 degrees. Probably about an inch or so.

QuestionMy Profile Series model PFE29PSDASS will not cool below 53 degrees in the refrigerator compartment. How much will this cost to fix? I am not the original purchaser. Will they have to pull the fridge out to work on it? I’m concerned about scratching damage

- Answer There is a fan at the back of the fresh food section that is covered by a plastic panel. Google GE "model #" and the words fresh food section not cooling and you will find many videos on how to take the panel off and how to replace the fan behind the plastic panel. Questionwill model PFE28kynfs fit? refrigerator space is 38 w x 71 1/2 h x 28 1/8" deep wall on right and 24" deep cabinets on left. My island is 63 1/2" from the wall in back of the refrigerator. Will freezer drawer & refrigerator doors open fully?

The interior drawers can be accessed with the door(s) open at 90 degrees. Additional clearance is needed to remove the drawers or to open the doors if the adjacent wall or cabinets are deeper than the refrigerator case depth (without the doors). The suggested clearance measured from the side of the refrigerator is 17" on each side for French door models. QuestionMy dispenser seems “locked” even though it’s not. Won’t dispense water or cubes . When I I press a glass on it nothing happens. I thought somehow it got locked so tried to unlock it but nothing is Happening. It’s still making ice. Any ideas?

QuestionLove our GE Profile but it seems a circuit board will go out periodically and needs to be replaced. I understand there are 5 circuit boards on this model. Why so many problems with the circuit boards? Can be very costly!
