- Answer Hi marsing - GE Profile™ 30" Built-In Gas Cooktop PGP7030DLBB does not have child lock feature. A website correction request will be sent to BestBuy. Our GE Profile™ 30" Built-In Gas Cooktop PGP9030SLSS has control lock capability to protect against unintended activation. To lock the cooktop and prevent unwanted use, turn the control lock knob clockwise to Locked. An indicator light will illuminate when the cooktop is locked. When locked, gas flow to the burners is prevented. Burners will spark if a knob is turned, but will not ignite. To unlock, turn the control lock knob to Unlocked. Thanks for your interest! Sue

The versatile tri-ring burner can go from gently melting butter or gradually reducing a sauce with its 140 degree simmer to quickly boiling with 18,000 BTUs of power. There are three rings to the burner head that are used on different settings. On Low, you will see flames around the small center portion of the burner head. On Medium, there also low flames under the middle rim of the burner head. On High, you will see flames around the outside rim of the burner head. QuestionWhat material are the knobs made of? In the showroom, they appeared to be stainless steel, but one reviewer complained that they are plastic and that they melted.

- Answer The knobs are a heavy, sturdy metal. I don't know what it would cost to replace them since we recently purchased the cooktop.
