Not sure but I managed to scratch the cooktop of my 911 with one month use. Love the stove though!

Our cooktops are made of a tough glass ceramic material, made to withstand scratches with normal use. Sometimes marks may appear on the glass ceramic that seem to be scratches, but are really just marks from a pan and are able to be removed by cleaning. The glass ceramic cooktops are scratch resistant, yet not scratch proof. Check the bottoms of the pans that you use for any rough spots. The bottoms of the pans should be a "smooth" flat surface. See the following link: RANGE - COOKWARE USED ON A RADIANT SMOOTH GLASS COOKTOP: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16259 - Also, PB911SJSS has an EDGE-TO-EDGE COOKTOP- A large, seamless surface makes it easy to wipe away messes.
