“It is hard to operate controls when hot air is vented from the oven. The vent seems to be right below the controls. Can the vent be closed when needed?”

• Hi CookingNinja- Thanks for choosing our GE Profile Series! The oven is vented in the center of the backsplash area. This will cause that area of your cooktop to feel warm when in use. Never block the vents (air openings) of the range. They provide the air inlet and outlet that are necessary for the range to keep cool and operate properly with correct combustion.
