Please check with the range venting specifications and your local codes to see if this microwave has sufficient CFM's. If it were over a GE gas range, as long as the 66" minimum from the floor to the top of the microwave is followed there will be no performance or warranty problem. These products are not recommended for use above any range or cooktop that has a combined surface burner BTU rating over 65,000 BTUs. This does not include the oven/broiler BTUs. All over-the-range microwaves and Advantium ovens are approved for installation over any Hotpoint, GE, Profile Series, and Cafe Series free-standing and slide-in ranges. I hope this helps!
