“Does this dishwasher have an "open bottom"? My install group are say that they need an "open bottom dishwasher" for installation in my home.”

Hello, thank you for your question. The PDP715SYNFS dishwasher does not have an open bottom and we apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. When installing the dishwasher, the plumbing and electrical must be located in the shaded area as shown in the installation instructions. This area is at the rear, bottom of the dishwasher and measures 24" x 6" x 4" (WxHxD). If you would like to view the installation instructions for this dishwasher, you can do so on our website. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the dishwasher is open on the bottom, and with the front bottom cover off you can reach in. It is however a very tight fit as the space is less than on the older unit I replaced.
