Mine installed flush with the cabinets and had room to spare behind it.

We truly appreciate you considering this fantastic dishwasher for your home and are happy to answer these questions for you! The dishwasher will sit flush with the wall when installed and does not require any additional air clearance in the rear. The wall area in the rear of the dishwasher enclosure must be free of pipes and wires. The only additional clearances you may need to be aware of are if you are installing it into a corner. If so, you should allow 2” min. clearance between dishwasher and adjacent cabinet, wall or other appliances. - The depth of the dishwasher is 24" and the depth including the handle is 25.6". You will want to allow at least 25-1/2” of clearance from the front of the dishwasher to allow for door opening. The rough cabinet opening must be at least 24” deep, 24” wide and approximately 34-1/2” high from floor to underside of the countertop. You can see a diagram of these clearances and cutout opening here: https://files.bbystatic.com/pEUp3iGfuwvlSnEYabovwA%3D%3D/fe5692b5-ba8a-4e67-aec4-595d2d1d5713.pdf. - We sincerely hope that this information helps you prepare for this installation. Please feel free to reach back out to us if you have any further questions. We are always happy to help! -Eliza@GEA
