Hello Concerned - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. We're sorry your new washer is beeping before going into the rinse cycle. Does the washer perform the rinse cycle okay or does an error code display on the control panel? If the washer is installed properly, and it is beeping, we recommend exercising your warranty and contacting GE Factory Service at 1-800-432-2737 for assistance. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If there is no error on your screen then you can silence the beeping for the entire cycle by pressing "load size" button and "process" button at the same time. no need to hold them, just press them both at same time and that's it and it will silence it immediately and we'll keep it silent until the power has been disconnected from the machine. I don't know why the professional couldn't answer this question seeing as it's even in the manual. if there is an error then you have to correct the error first before the washer will be re-engage. The beeping will stop on an error eventually but will not continue to wash until you correct it
