“Purchased under-cabinet mounting kit JXA019K for use with PEM31SF3SS. What is purpose of the Rear brackets? Is there a cleat mounted to the wall for brackets to hook on? Or is entire weight supported by the screws and bracket through bottom of cabinet?”

Hi VManDIY - Per the Installation Guide: Remove the two top case screws on the back of the oven. (See Template/ Rear Bracket Reference Guide.) Select the two rear brackets for the model you have and then secure to the oven back with the two top case screws. Make sure that the flat top surface of the rear brackets are level and flush with the top surface of the oven case. The brackets attach to the microwave and not the wall. These brackets provide the proper clearance from the back wall. All the support is from the top cabinet. The installation guide is included with the kit. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
