A: Hi, This is Lisa from GE Appliances. I am happy to help. If you are viewing the install specs, you will need at least 31 inches and an inch in the front. The GUD27ESS does not require extra clearance in the rear as long as the vent comes out of the side or the rear vent location outlined in the Installation Instructions or the Quick Specs. There is enough room for the water line and drain hose.
