No, there are no batteries in the system as it uses your Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, or Galaxy S6 edge+ phone directly. However, some games may require a Bluetooth controller to function properly.
