Hi! I am glad you raise this over to us. We really want to help you on this. Yes you can plug the LED Strip into an outlet with a switch but we do not recommend doing that as it will disconnect the device from WIFI. We suggest to fully utilize the Geeni app to turn off and on the strip. We would love to discuss it with you.
