Q: QuestionCan original Sega Genesis cartridges be inserted into this console? Will the older games work on it?

• A:Answer This product is a miniature, all-digital, strictly plug-and-play retro console. It is about half the size of the original model one Sega Genesis, and I do not believe that original Sega Genesis carts would fit even if it did have a functioning cartridge drive, which I doubt that it does. This is designed to be a 40 game nostalgic tribute/miniature replica of the Sega Genesis. It's main appeal and value is that the included selection of games outputs in HDMI to suit modern televisions, monitors, or displays, it includes 2 USB Sega Genesis controllers, it's small form factor, it's authentic retro/nostalgic branding, and that it is indeed going to be manufactured by Sega. If you are searching for a modern solution for playing original Sega Genesis carts, I suggest the Analogue Mega SG.

• A:Answer Darius, and Tetris are the two bonus games. And from my understanding those two games will come with the console whether you pre order or not. Dont quote me on that last part but those games that I stated are indeed the bonus games.

• A:Answer Probably not. Laptops typically don't have HDMI in, which let you input video/audio to the screen. They have HDMI out, which let you output whatever is on the laptop to another screen. Maybe use a computer monitor if you can't use a TV.

• A:Answer No. Your monitor will have to have an audio output, or you can do what I'm doing as I use a computer monitor as my main TV as well. I connect the HDMI to a pass through sound bar which will play the sound and send the video to the monitor. Thats how you do it with a Roku as well.

• A:Answer The remote feels completely different than the original model. It is light weight and doesn't shape to my hands as the original remote did. I enjoy using the device and have gotten accustomed to the lighter wight remote but to answer the quest defiantly not the same feel.

• A:Answer No. At the time the time the original Genesis was released, Nintendo was competing with Sega as they had their own console. You can try to get an NES/SNES classic if you want to play Nintendo games but those have been out of production and typically sell for above MSRP on the aftermarket.
