• I leave it on most of the day. Turn it off for a couple of hours and then turn on in my bedroom before going to sleep. They're sturdy, but a few hours rest every 24 hours should make it last longer.

• I’ve been running this unit for a month now without turning it off. It does not seem to have any effect on the performance. So I would say yes you can run this 24/7.
