Yes, I think so, assuming the bird is in a cage. Mine is sometimes by my dog's crate when I have to leave home, and all is fine. Best money I ever spent!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a small parrot too. Since birds have such sensitive respiratory systems I emailed the company regarding ozone production from this machine. Here is their response: "Thank you for contacting us. All of our Air Purifiers comply with UL safety standards 507 and 867. We also must comply with the California Air Resource Board which closely regulates air purifiers. The safety standards and regulation only allows ozone levels less than .05 parts per million in household air purifiers. All of our products comply with this requirement and most of them have a non-detectable level of ozone. The AC4825 had a maximum ozone output of .001 PPM on low speed and was not detectable at other fan speeds. If further assistance is needed please let us know." Avoid any air cleaners with ionizers. This GermGaurdian works great, even around our bird. It's quiet on the low setting and the noise on medium is minimal.
