These work with controllers that have rechargeable batteries. The PS4/PS5 and Switch Pro controllers have them built in, but the Xbox controllers require Rechargeable Batteries for this to work. This device uses magnetic port adapters to plug into your controller, then when you sit your controller on the charging dock the magnet secures the controller to the charger, and it begins charging. It comes with 2 Micro-USB and 2 USB-C magnetic port adapters, so you can charge Xbox One/PS4 or Xbox Series/PS5/Switch Pro controllers. It's powered by a USB-A cable to USB-C, so you will need to either plug it into your console or use a 5V/2A(10 Watt) or higher wall adapter. Make sure you do not use a 5V/1A(5 Watt) wall adapter or you will run into charging issues.
