The device comes with an NVMe/M2 SSD seemingly regardless of size (in this case 512GB), which, as you can see in this image (from NotebookCheck) is typically installed in the furthermost of the two NVMe slots available on the left. That being said, the 2.5" SSD is referred to as a "swappable bay" (black square-ish area to the right of the RAM) by Gigabyte's specifications because this area is typically left open with nothing installed from factory. It is simply present in case you wish to upgrade and install one. Hope this helps! - HWK
