this sounds like a defective unit or possibly a defective battery as i have never had this issue while there is a program to change the battery settings for computer usage like high performance etc this does not have any effect on the booting of windows or anything of that nature i would contact gigabyte for assistance their support takes a bit to get back to people but they are top notch!
